Wisner Baum is pleased to announce that Los Angeles attorney Monique Alarcon has been named partner at the firm. This well-earned promotion comes after years of compassionate legal counsel to clients across a broad range of practice areas.

Monique came to Wisner Baum in 2020 and quickly established herself as an attorney who goes above and beyond in her advocacy. She focuses her practice on defective medical devices, multidistrict litigation, consumer fraud, pharmaceutical product liability, police misconduct, and civil rights cases. She is currently representing clients in cases alleging harm after receiving electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and the Gardasil HPV vaccine. She is also on the lawyer team representing families who allege their children suffered neurological injuries from eating baby food tainted with toxic heavy metals.

“We are delighted to announce Monique Alarcon’s elevation to partner at Wisner Baum,” says senior partner, Timothy A. Loranger. “Monique has earned this honor through dedication, leadership, and relentless hard work. Monique has and will continue to inspire us with her knowledge, insights, creativity, and commitment to our team and our clients.”

Monique helped grow Wisner Baum’s civil rights and police misconduct practice. She and her colleagues represented a Marine Corps veteran in a case against LAPD and earned a $1.25 million settlement. She obtained justice and compensation in another recent police misconduct case against Burbank’s Police Department.

In 2021, Monique was an integral part of the legal team that secured a confidential settlement on behalf of an Irvine, California man who alleged his First Amendment rights were violated by Christina Shea, the former mayor of Irvine.

Monique has received honors in the following legal publications:

In addition to her work at Wisner Baum, Monique is very active in the Los Angeles legal community. She is an adjunct Professor of Law for Loyola Law School’s Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) Moot Court Team, and is a board member of the Latina Lawyers Bar Association.
